Step-by-step setup
Step 1. FreshBooks → Favorites / Templates → create services and enable time tracking on projects.
Step 2. At month end: open the project → Create invoice from unbilled time → review → send.
Step 3. Turn on expense import from your bank/credit card; tag expenses to projects for client bill-backs.
Step 4. Enable online payments / bank transfers so clients pay without mailing checks.
Step 5. Weekly: filter unpaid invoices and send FreshBooks' built-in reminder (still human-triggered at first).
What success looks like
Estimates become invoices in clicks; expenses land on the right project; you bill weekly instead of in a weekend panic.
