Step-by-step setup guide + copy-paste prompt
Step-by-step setup (Cin7 Core Help, "Backorders and Split Orders")
Step 1. Set up products properly. Move inventory into Cin7 Core and assign a supplier to each product.
Step 2. Handle short stock. When a sale is authorized without enough stock, choose Backorder, Split Order (ship what you have, backorder the rest) or create a purchase order.
Step 3. Fulfil when stock arrives. Receive stock, then fulfil and invoice the backordered sales.
Step 4. Connect accounting. Connect QuickBooks so invoices and costs sync and month-end doesn't need re-keying. Ask your Cin7 partner if needed.
Step 5. Track it. Measure order processing time and month-end close before and after.
