Shopify protein brand: Prediko AI forecasting replaces daily Excel reconciliation
One product, eight flavours, no more daily Excel: Sync Protein uses Prediko to time purchase orders around seasonality and subscriptions.
- Task
- forecast demand and time purchase orders without spreadsheets
- Result
- ~10 hours/week saved (case title); removed the hour every morning spent reconciling data; fewer out-of-stocks/overstocks (not quantified); first best-seller/COGS reports within hours
- Tools
- Prediko Planning & Purchasing (Shopify app, AI forecasting with trends, seasonality, subscriptions)
- Setup
- connect Shopify → generate best/low-seller and COGS reports → AI demand forecast → restock alerts and order quantities that account for lead time and supplier capacity
Step-by-step setup guide
Why this way: Prediko's Sync Protein case study (plant protein on Shopify). From Hermes's 5–6 list — setup is the same as our other Prediko guides.
Prerequisites
- A Shopify store (Basic/Advanced/Plus).
- Prediko installed from the Shopify App Store (14-day trial).
- Supplier lead times and MOQs written down.
- Time: 1–2 hours setup; a week of watching forecasts.
Step-by-step setup
Step 1. In Shopify admin → Apps → search Prediko → install → connect your store.
Step 2. Set lead times, safety stock and warehouses/locations for each supplier.
Step 3. Open Prediko's forecast / buying table. Review suggested purchase orders; edit quantities before you send.
Step 4. Create POs from Prediko (or export) and send to suppliers your normal way.
Step 5. Weekly: check stockout alerts and adjust any SKU the AI keeps over-ordering (seasonality, one-off spikes).
What success looks like
Forecasts replace the spreadsheet ritual; POs land before flavours stock out.
