Task
escape pen/paper/Word/Excel invoicing and speed quote follow-ups
Result
$1M+ annual sales since adopting Jobber (2018); saves 8–10 hours/week (~full workday) on invoicing/quoting/work orders; nights of admin → ~20-minute process; clients compliment online quote approve + pay
Tools
  • Jobber (quotes, automatic quote follow-ups, online approvals/payments, work orders, scheduling)
Setup
  1. migrate from paper/Excel → send online quotes with auto follow-ups → clients approve/pay in Jobber → create work orders and invoices from anywhere while traveling
Step-by-step setup guide

Benefit: No more nights of quotes and invoices. Online quotes, automatic follow-ups, approve-and-pay links, and work orders created from your phone.

Step-by-step setup

Step 1. Move your clients in. Import clients (CSV) and set up your services and prices.

Step 2. Send quotes online. Create the quote in Jobber and send it by email or text so the client can approve online.

Step 3. Turn on automatic follow-ups. Go to Settings → Automations, open the Quote follow-up card, turn it on, set the delay, edit the message and Save. Jobber sends up to 2 reminders on the same channel as the quote. Check that clients have "outstanding quote follow-ups" enabled in their communication settings.

Step 4. Approved quote → job → invoice. Convert approved quotes into jobs. When a job is done, create the invoice and let clients pay online.

Step 5. Measure. Compare admin hours in week 1 and week 4. Kipps went from nights of admin to about 20 minutes.

Copy-paste prompt (follow-up message copy)

Write two short quote follow-up messages for {{company}}, a landscaping company.
#1 sent 3 days after the quote (friendly check-in), #2 sent 7 days after (last nudge, offer a quick call).
Under 50 words, include {{quote_link}}.
