I sell [PRODUCT TYPE] across [CHANNELS] with warehouses in [LOCATIONS]. My suppliers are [LIST] with lead times of [DAYS] and minimum orders of [MOQ]. Write 5 plain-English alert requests I can give to Prediko's assistant (for example "Tell me when an A-class SKU falls below safety stock"). For each, say which supplier or location it should cover and whether I need email or Slack. Don't invent my numbers.

Honest note: forecasting software with rules for alerts, not a general AI. Prediko calls its assistant "Pia"; she turns plain-English requests into alerts, but the alert conditions (below safety stock, at risk of stockout) are rule-style checks. The results come from a vendor case study of a French lingerie brand and have no published baseline. The "1:1 onboarding" in the story is a vendor service; the app also offers an onboarding call or webinar.

Prerequisites

  • A Shopify store (and any other channels or warehouses you want in one view; Prediko syncs Shopify locations).
  • For each supplier: lead time in days and minimum order quantity (or value).
  • A target "safety stock" in days of cover.

Step-by-step setup

Step 1. Install and connect. In the Shopify App Store install Prediko, create your account, enter your Stock Cover, and book the onboarding call or webinar. More stores: Settings → Connected Stores → Add Shopify Store.

Step 2. Enter lead times and MOQs per supplier. Settings → Suppliers → Add Supplier (or edit one). Set Lead Time in days and the Minimum Order Type (by quantity or value). Per-product MOQ or lead time can be overridden in the Buy table under Columns.

Step 3. Set safety stock. In the Buy table, show the Safety Stock Days and Days of Cover columns and set them per SKU (bulk bar for many at once). Prediko flags a repurchase when stock is Safety Stock + Lead Time days away from running out.

Step 4. Turn on alerts. Open Automations → Create automation. Tell Pia, for example, "Tell me when an A-class SKU falls below safety stock" or "Let me know when an important SKU becomes at risk of stocking out." Choose email, Slack or WhatsApp, confirm the preview, and save. You can also add a weekly Task, such as every Monday at 9 AM, SKUs at risk of stocking out.

Step 5. Act on the alert. From the Buy tab pick the flagged SKUs → Create draft order. If the MOQ Met column says No, hover the info icon and use Scale to MOQ. Share the PO from Orders.

What success looks like

You get an alert before the stockout date, and the PO you create already meets the supplier minimum.

Common issues & fixes

  • Alert fires too late: raise safety stock days or confirm the lead time is real, not the supplier's quote.
  • No alerts at all: a new alert only watches from creation onward and won't report items that already match.
  • Too many alerts: narrow it ("A-class only", one supplier, or one warehouse).

Optional: Maintenance

  • Each quarter, re-check supplier lead times and MOQs.
  • Review the "fast sellers at risk" weekly task and tune thresholds.
