Step-by-step setup
Step 1. Connect the two apps. In NiceJob go to Settings → Product settings → Apps, click Connect next to Housecall Pro, and log in to Housecall Pro to authorise. NiceJob imports your people and employees and syncs future jobs.
Step 2. Know the trigger. When a job is marked Finished in Housecall Pro, NiceJob enrols the customer in the Get Reviews campaign immediately. Past customers aren't invited; it starts with future jobs.
Step 3. Review the 4 touches. The default Get Reviews campaign is one SMS plus up to three email reminders over about 14 days, and customers exit once they review. In Good Guy Plumbing's data the text produced 353 reviews and the emails 153, 127 and 379, so keep all four. To edit: Campaigns → open the campaign → Edit Campaign → click a message → Add Step if needed → Save → Set Live.
Step 4. Block the wrong customers. Add the tag noreview to a customer or job before you close it, to stop an invite. Ask everyone else: don't screen for happy customers.
Step 5. Test. Close one job in Housecall Pro. Within about 15 minutes the customer should appear at the top of NiceJob's People page with their first invite logged.
Step 6. Turn on the leaderboard. Use NiceJob's team leaderboard to show reviews and average stars per tech. The plumbing company rewards review counts at payroll.
