Starter prompt from the guide (use it as a base):
I run a Shopify footwear brand with about [NUMBER] SKUs. My sales over the last 12 months were [AMOUNT] and I expect [GROWTH %] growth next year, with peaks in [MONTHS]. Help me (1) write a one-line growth assumption I can enter in Prediko's Smart Model, (2) list 5 questions to check before I approve a big purchase order, and (3) suggest sensible Days of Cover for fast sellers vs slow sellers given supplier lead times of [DAYS]. Don't invent my numbers; ask me if something is missing.
First, ask me up to 5 questions about my business and tools. Then give me a beginner step-by-step setup plan, plus copy-paste prompts/templates I can use. Plain English, and tell me if any step needs a tech helper.

> Cost: Paid. Prediko starts at $49/month (Shopify billing, 14-day trial). Tier depends on your store's sales.
Honest note: this is forecasting software, not a chat AI. Prediko's "Smart Model" builds a 12-month plan from your sales history, and you type in the growth you expect. It will not decide your growth for you. The case is a vendor-published story (a footwear brand that switched from another planner); the 35% figure has no published baseline, and the "50% faster support" line is about customer support, not your stock.
Prerequisites
- A Shopify store with inventory tracking turned on for the products you want planned.
- Supplier lead times (days from order to arrival) and, if you have them, minimum order quantities.
- A rough number for sales you expect over the next 12 months.
- If you're moving from another planner: your supplier list or open POs in a spreadsheet.
Step-by-step setup
Step 1. Install and create your account. In the Shopify App Store find Prediko and install it. Follow the prompts to create an account, enter your Stock Cover (how many days of stock you want on hand when a delivery arrives), then book an onboarding call or webinar if you want help. Prediko syncs products, sales, inventory and locations from Shopify automatically.
Step 2. Add your suppliers. Go to Settings → Suppliers → Add Supplier. Enter name, currency, Lead Time in days, and any Supplier Minimum Order (quantity or value). Add the SKUs each supplier provides. For many suppliers use bulk import: Settings → Import, download the template, upload, validate, confirm. This is also how you bring across data from the planner you're leaving.
Step 3. Set your growth expectation. Open the Demand plan (the Plan). With the Smart Model, enter your 12-month sales expectation. Make sure the plan's refresh type is Manual if you want to edit it. You can then Refresh the distribution across SKUs, or click Edit on the plan to change a month by sales, quantity or Plan YoY % (turn that on under Manage View). Prediko won't change your growth number on its own.
Step 4. Check the 12-month supply picture. Open the Supply tab. It shows your plan, current stock, incoming deliveries and lead times, and flags the part of the plan you can't fulfil in time ("unachievable plan"). Use it to see when you need to order.
Step 5. Order from the Buy table. Open the Buy tab. Set Days of Cover per SKU (for example 180 days means the order should last 180 days after it arrives). Select SKUs, click Create draft order, edit Units to Order, and share the PO as PDF, Excel, or email.
What success looks like
The Supply tab shows fewer months in red, the Buy table recommends more units for fast-growing SKUs, and you can raise a PO in minutes. Over the next few months, count your own stockout days and compare.
Common issues & fixes
- A SKU doesn't appear: inventory tracking is off in Shopify for it.
- Recommendations look too high: your growth expectation or Days of Cover is set too generously. Edit the plan; don't just trust it.
- Manual edits vanished: "Re-plan" regenerates the plan from the Smart Model and overwrites manual changes.
Optional: Maintenance
- Each month, compare actual sales to the plan. Prediko notifies you if data is 10% above or below plan.
- Update lead times when a supplier slows down.
