Acuity Permaesthetics: multi-six-figure PMU studio; 675 five-star Google reviews; self-booking saves daily hours
A permanent-makeup studio and academy replaced a weak booking tool with Acuity — multi-artist calendars, deposits, intake forms, and training registration — and built a multi-six-figure brand with 675 five-star Google reviews.
- Task
- replace prior booking tool that lacked multi-artist calendars and deposits as team/services grew
- Result
- multi-six-figure brand; 675 five-star Google reviews; 5,000+ client transformations; clients book/reschedule without staff; deposits + policies protect revenue; daily hours saved on manual booking
- Tools
- Acuity Scheduling (multi-artist calendars, deposits, intake forms, payments, packages, training registration, invoices, Square-adjacent payments)
- Setup
- migrate to Acuity for multi-artist/rooms → require deposits and set booking policies/limits → use intake forms + add-ons → open training dates for academy → brand the scheduling page
- direct all booking/reschedule to the link
Step-by-step setup guide + copy-paste prompt
Prerequisites
- Acuity Scheduling account.
- Stripe, Square, or PayPal connected for deposits.
Step-by-step setup
Step 1. Create appointment types per artist/service. One type per service (and per room/artist if needed), each with duration and price.
Step 2. Require deposits. Go to Payments → Payment at Booking. Toggle off Use the same method for all appointment types if needed, choose deposit or full payment per type, then Save.
Step 3. Add intake forms + add-ons. Attach forms (contraindications, photos) and upsell add-ons to the right appointment types.
Step 4. Open training dates. Create separate appointment types (or package/class setup) for academy seats so students self-register.
Step 5. Brand the scheduling page and put the link everywhere (site, IG bio, Google). Turn on reminders (up to three email reminders; SMS on Standard+).
Copy-paste prompt
Write Acuity appointment descriptions + deposit policy blurb for {{studio}} permanent makeup (lips, brows, eyeliner) and a 1-day training seat.
