Step 1. Route the business line to Podium Phones. Port or forward your main number into Podium so calls/texts land in one inbox.
Step 2. Turn on AI Employee. Go to More (left sidebar) → Settings → AI Employee. Fill FAQs, appointment link, and payment methods. Some advanced options are switched on by Podium Support — ask your rep.
Step 3. Decide handoffs. Escalate complaints, emergencies, and price negotiations to you. Escalations show "AI needs help" in the inbox.
Step 4. Test with 10 real questions. Text your own line; hover Sources on any wrong AI reply and edit that FAQ.
Step 5. Invoice from the field. Before leaving the job, send the invoice/payment link from the mobile app so cash often lands same-day or next-day (faster than their prior Jobber workflow).
Step 6. Log off at 5. Review call summaries in the morning instead of answering every ring on the truck.
